Simple Garden Wedding ~~ Part I

Congrats to my dear friend & sorority sister :)  I wish you joy in your marriage and that God will lead you two to the right path at the right time with the right people. <3 Thank you for inviting me to your wedding it was beautiful!!

On to the details : Thank God it was SUNNY & clear sky. The wedding was located at a little venue with a nice garden area overlooking this valley with lots and lots of trees! People were saying how it was like Twilight. haha :)

I love her dress! So pretty and the yellow flowers contrast well against the garden's greenery.

      



















As for reception, it was outdoor under a pretty canopy. Small but cozy and warm with close friends and family.

Super cute favors.. I'm actually eating them right now. haha Nom Nom Nom

Dinner consisted of a buffet with steak & salmon as main course!

 Dessert was of course.. the wedding cake! :) YUMMY

After that we had the couple's first dance!! how romantic and happy is this??

Father/daughter dance.. Her dad started crying from joy... so I think a lot of us were tearing up when we saw that. awww :)

OOTD

Hi Loves,

Just wanted to do a quick post on my outfits from today and the past Tuesday. Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry due to lighting :( Anyhow, here's what I wore to my conference on Tuesday for work.

 A simple white eyelet dress with a tan colored cardigan from Nordstrom. I pulled the look together with a gold chain bracelet and belt. I love how the belt really polished the look. I adore this "new" way of tying my belt. So cuteee <3

Today's look was focus on my mint jeans from Zara. I got it on sale for about $35 and it feels super comfy and snug. I threw a lacy white shirt over a black tank. The shirt is a bit off the shoulder and the mid-sleeve is perfect for work so it doesn't get in my way. The bracelets are DIY ones made by yours truly.

Wedge Sneakers??

How do you guys feel about this new "trend" of build-in wedges with a sneaker look?? It looks super comfy and I can be such a sneaker type of girl sometimes.

I've seen some bloggers raving about them and saying how comfy they are. Maybe I should consider these Steve Madden ones since they are so much cheaper than the Ash "Bowie" ones. In fact I think these are much cuter. Below is the one by Ash:

Both are about the same color and style so it's probably smarter to get the Steve Madden ones. Steve Madden ones also came in 3 different colors! Gonna have to hit Nordy to test them out!! :)

MELTING

Omgah.. totally melting this weekend. We had such nice weather.. high 80s-low 90s. It's been awhile my dear SUN! Where have you been hiding??!! Finally got some color on me from yesterday's blueberry picking and the water park today! Wish I had a boat to go out in the water and enjoy the sun even more!

Didn't get to take any pics at the water park today since I locked up everything but I wore this super cute coral colored bikini w/my neon slippers & neon pink toe nails. I was totally neon out! I got the set last year online at Victoria Secret for $50 but now the top is on sale for only $15 Here! :/ lame

I did however got some pictures from blueberry picking. It was so hot we only stayed for 30min :( Despite that, the blueberries were super sweet! We'll just have to find a gloomy day to go.

It's so hot at home that I'm melting just sitting here blogging! I hope you guys had a nice weekend too <3

Bridal Shower :)

*Gasp* Who's getting marry!!??! :) Definitely not me, maybe in a few years! I recently attended a friend's bridal shower. It was a small gathering at her house! Super cute and I enjoyed playing all the games! Of course there's the toilet paper wedding dress! I need to get my hands on those pictures. :P

Below is the outfit I wore to the bridal shower. Nothing too fancy just a cute floral dress with a peplum at the waistline. I love this dress for its comfort and bright yet subtle colors. IF that made any senses....

For accessories I paired it with my favorite chain bracelet and a simple necklace from Petiteco on Etsy.

I also wore my favorite wedges from DV by Dolce Vita. :)

KAT: If you are reading this.. I'm super excited to see you on your wedding day! Thank you for inviting me to your bridal shower/wedding. I'm so happy for you and wish you two the best in your marriage. I remember when I first met you and we went to the Ubookstore you were telling me about your bf then..now fiance. haha :) How cute. <3

Polyvore Contest

Polyvore almost always have some sort of contests going on and I happened to come across a contest that's a crossover with Converse & our lovely Aimee from "Song of Style". I've been reading her blog for a long time now and I immediately wanted to enter this contest. Not so much for the prizes but really just as an inspiration.

Her sense of style have inspired and motivated me to really go after what I want :) Thanks to Aimee and a few other bloggers that inspired me to start my own blog. Of course not without my supportive friends/family! Long story short.. here's my entry piece!

Asian BB cream VS American BB Cream

Contestant #1 : Missha BB Cream- SPF20-  50ml -$11.50

 Contestant #2: Maybelline Dream Fresh BB- SPF30- 30ml- $11.99

• Enhances, brightens & adjust to skin tone while moisturizing and smooth skin imperfection

I really like both of these BB cream but I'm a bit tore between them. I'm not exactly sure if Maybelline's BB cream should actually be a tinted moisturizer instead? I love how these BB cream gives a light coverage with SPF which would be perfect for summer. I don't normally wear foundation or anything so this will do it since it's super light!

Missha's BB cream is actually 1/2 a shade darker than the Maybelline's Dream Fresh which I got in a Medium Sheer Tint.

I wore both for the whole day to try it out and Maybelline's gets a bit oily toward mid-day but nothing unmanageable. It could also be the SPF lotion I use underneath but the coverage didn't wear off and my skin didn't flake from dryness. (I have normal-dry skin)

On the other hand Missha's has a higher coverage than Dream Fresh but it tends to be on the drier side around mid-day.

Verdict:

I like both BB cream but if I really have to pick I think Missha would win just because it fits in more as the category of BB cream. If Dream Fresh was a tinted moisturizer I would pick it over Missha. It has a higher SPF factor, lighter coverage that still allow for my natural color to peek through. Both products gives my skin a super soft touch while covering small blemishes.

I wish they can make one that's a combination of these two products. I'm going to Hong Kong soon so I'll probably pick up a few more just to find the perfect one :)
